I started Ginger Armor because I was tired of the trade-offs.

Most sunscreens force you to choose: look good or be healthy or be earth-friendly or afford it. I didn't want to pick. So I built a brand that refuses to.

The tipping point came when I learned how many sunscreen chemicals absorb straight into your bloodstream — and realized I couldn't pronounce, let alone identify, most of the 100+ ingredients I was slathering on my face every day. As a redhead and a California landscape contractor, sunscreen isn't optional for me. It's daily armor. After years of burns, irritation, and products that felt like grease or smelled like a chemistry lab, I made the one I actually wanted to wear.
